Dance Music Archive 001 : 20/4/24

Thanks to everyone who made the first ever Dance Music Archive party such a huge success. Our debut party on Saturday 20th April at the new Project House event space in Leeds was a complete sell out, and we've had some of the most amazing messages, emails and social posts about it. We always wanted it to be about who was going, not who was playing, and it really was the very best crowd of people we've seen anywhere for many years.

That being said, we hope you did enjoy our secret line up of DJs!

Back to Basics resident Buckley warmed things up with some of the tracks he'd played at the Hacienda back in the day, and he was followed by Allister Whitehead - one of the original British superstar DJs playing 1992-1994 tracks. Leeds legends and UK dance pioneers the Utah Saints absolutely smashed the warehouse playing music from 94-96, before Andi Durrant took over for the 96-98 slot. The night was rounded off with a trance classics set from Riley & Durrant who pulled out some of the forgettem gems from their days at Gatecrasher, Cream, Passion, Slinky and Ministry.

Food came courtesy of Little Bao Boys and the Homeboy Pizza company and there was lots of outside space to chill, drink and eat in the evening sunshine. We can't wait to do it again soon...
